BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June and encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment.
This year the theme of World Environment Day is “Solutions to Plastic Pollution”. Secretary General Guterres emphasized in his video speech that over 400 million tons of plastic are produced globally every year, with one-third of them being used only once; there are equivalent to 2000 garbage trucks loaded with plastic dumping plastic into rivers, lakes, and seas every day.
He also pointed out that”microplastics are ubiquitous in the food we consume, the water we drink, and the air we breathe; In addition, as plastic is a fossil fuel product, so the more plastic is produced, the more fossil fuels are burned, and the climate crisis is becoming increasingly severe.
Faced with such catastrophic consequences, Guterres cited the latest report released by the Environment Agency in May this year as saying, “If immediate action is taken to reuse and recycle plastic, adjust practices, and use diverse materials other than plastic, plastic pollution can be reduced by 80% by 2040.
Other United Nations agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization, also support countries in negotiating agreements through intergovernmental negotiating committees. A report released by the Food and Agriculture Organization at the end of 2021 shows that in 2019, 12.5 million tons of plastic products were used in animal and plant production and 37.3 million tons in food packaging in the agricultural value chain; It is estimated that by 2030, the global demand for the greenhouse, plastic film and silage film will increase by about 50%.
However, existing data also indicates that only a small portion of agricultural plastics are collected and recycled, while the majority are buried or buried, which has a negative impact on ecosystems, biodiversity, and human health.
WHY RECYCLING
The application of plastic products has penetrated every corner of society, and the waste of plastic products is increasing every year. Plastic recycling has been a global problem that needs to be solved urgently.
Recycling plastic can not only save resources and alleviate the contradiction between the supply and demand of plastic raw materials but also save land occupation space, increase the utilization rate of land resources, and make significant contributions to environmental protection.
The recycling of waste plastic has a broad prospect. The waste plastics could be converted into fuel oil, carbon black and combustible gas through plastic waste pyrolysis technology. Fuel oil can be used as industrial fuel in industrial factories as heating material. It has a high calorific value so it can be sold directly, or further processed into diesel with higher application value. The waste gas is discharged after desulfurization and denitrification treatment to meet the emission standard. Recycling waste plastic through pyrolysis technology can not only reduce environmental pollution but also generate profits for you.

THE DIFFERENCE
Both incineration and pyrolysis are forms of combustion, these are important methods for treating solid waste. There are certain differences between pyrolysis and incineration methods regarding treatment conditions, generated products, and applicable conditions.
The key difference is that incineration is the combustion of organic matter in the presence of oxygen whereas pyrolysis is the combustion of organic matter in the absence of oxygen.
Incineration refers to the process of thermochemical reactions of garbage with a certain calorific value energy under aerobic conditions, and incineration is the process of releasing heat. Incineration is an important way to achieve harmless, resourceful, and reduced waste. The incineration process converts waste into ash, gases, and heat. The heat generated from incineration can be used for heating and power generation.
Pyrolysis is the combustion of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. The chemical composition of the material is changed by this process, and the process is irreversible. Generally, pyrolysis of organic materials causes the production of volatile components along with a carbon-containing solid residue and tar. Pyrolysis is an endothermic process. This process gives end products in the solid phase, liquid phase, and gas phase as well. The heat contained in solid waste is stored in the form of the above-mentioned substances and becomes a valuable fuel for storage and transportation. Kyuka ventures brings experience in pyrolysis projects, we mainly process used tires, plastic wastes, oil sludge, medical wastes, etc. We provide customized solution to waste for each customer.
