  • KYUKA includes  Gas Powered-cargo bikes (T-500) in its fleet as part of a pilot project in Kampala, addressing both business and private customers.

Kyuka is cooperating with the manufacturer of tricycle bikes Dura motors. As part of a pilot project running in Kampala, KYUKA is the first mobility provider in UGANDA to include the  Gas powered cargo bikes in the country's commercial vehicle fleet. The T-500 cargo bikes are now available to both corporate and private customers as a sustainable and space-saving transport alternative for inner-city goods traffic.

As part of the pilot project, KYUKA is offering the first T-500 bikes in Uganda, after which it plans to expand the cooperation to other Ugandan cities. The cargo space of the T-500 consists of an exchangeable container module that holds a volume of two cubic meters and can be loaded with up to 500 kilograms of pay load. As the T-500 bikes have weather protection for riders, they can be used all year round.

T-500 has a sustainable, space-saving fleet addition ,Through the cooperation with Dura motors, KYUKA once again relies on an innovative solution for sustainable mobility. Riders are supported by GAS drives, which is why they  are operated CO2-neutrally. With pedal assistance, the bikes reach a speed of up to 25 km/h and have a range of approximately 50 kilometers on a single Refill. Since the cylinders are replaceable, additional cylinders can be taken along and the range can thus be increased. KYUKA uses the latest edition of T-500. With these specifications, the bikes are suitable for both business and private use. Private customers can use the bikes, for example, as a sustainable option for transporting larger items such as crates of drinks, weekend shopping or large-volume items . For KYUKA business customers, the bikes are an ideal addition to their own fleet. The bikes can be used for last-mile transport by courier express parcel service providers as well as by craft businesses, in facility management or for transporting food in cool boxes. With the T-500 bikes, companies make themselves less dependent on possible entry restrictions in city centers. The  bikes can use bicycle lanes, require less parking space than vans, and thus experience greater acceptance in urban delivery traffic. Another advantage: Since no driver’s license is required for the bikes, it is easier to find qualified drivers.
